Discover drawing as a great, learnable medium for observation, expression, learning, exploration and fun! This event series is inspired by The Campaign for Drawing, a nationwide initiative in the THE BIG DRAW invites the community to experience drawing as an enjoyable public activity as well as a private passion. It is inspired by the vision of artist, writer and thinker John Ruskin who believed that drawing is a tool for understanding and knowledge and by his belief in the importance of the arts in education and community life. THE BIG DRAW Season runs from September 15th – October 11th and ends with THE RUSKIN BIG DRAW-IN, a community event October 11 organized by Southshore Arts Council and participating partners and sponsors. Events are scheduled throughout the month sponsored by community organizations, libraries, schools, clubs and businesses at a variety of venues.
