Next up- Fall Open House!

Lots of fun at the Back to School event on Aug 3
Following on the heels of our successful Back to School event last week, we are anxious to get confirmations from organizations that would like to participate in our next event. Our Fall Open House is scheduled for Saturday, October 26 from 9am to 1pm.

The theme is Fall in Florida. We are also tying into National Food Day, Florida's 500 years, Ada Lovelace Day (celebrating female scientists) and of course, Halloween and the creatures associated with it.

We would like to invite local and/or environmental organizations that wish to participate by setting up a display at the event. If you can't commit to the full 4 hours (plus setup and cleanup) but are interested in being a speaker, each session will be just 30 minutes. We still have a few time slots to fill, with a new speaker on the half hour from 9am-12:30pm.

If you'd like an idea of what our Fall Open House involves, check out this blog post from last year: http://campbayou.blogspot.com/2012/10/camp-bayou-fall-open-house.html .

We supply the table and chairs, you bring an activity and any information for your organization that you would like to distribute. There can be no items for sale (unless you are willing to pay Hillsborough County's park vendor fee) although you are welcome to put out a donation jar. There is no fee to participate.
