From "Janet Zicht" gem0402@hotmail.com Date: Tuesday, September 9, 2008 To: Media Contacts,   I'm an Ambassador Girl Scout in West Central Florida Council and working on my Girl Scout Gold Award Project.  The project is to promote Florida Eco-Friendly Landscaping techniques with an emphasis on water conservation and the use of Florida native plants.   As part of my project I'm organizing an event, "Linking to the Land ... Going for the Gold" at Camp Bayou, in Ruskin, in conjunction with National Public Lands Day.   The FREE event will be held Saturday, 9/27/08 from 9am - noon and everyone is welcomed. "Goodie-Bags" of eco-related items for all participants.    To register, visit http://www.idealist.org/en/event/106702-283 or email girlscouttroop966@yahoo.com. This worthwhile event will feature a variety of family-oriented and youth activities focused on water conservation and Florida eco-friendly landscaping.
